The Municipality is constanlty trying to enchance the forest fire prevention through the motivation of the local communities, the communication and awareness activities, volunteer actions, etc. In this direction, Municipality of Ilioupoli is an active member of SPAY (the union of Municipalities for the Hymmetus Mountain protection and Development).
